File Explorer disappearing and/or crashing in Windows 10
Often times this issue is related to the "Quick Access" links in Windows 10's file explorer. Please note that this fix will clear all of your quick links. To fix this, first hit the Windows Logo key, type "This Pc" and hit enter. This will launch a file explorer safely, giving you the chance to clear Quick Access, as follows:
Right click on Quick Access, and choose Options
Choose "Clear"
This will correct the issue that is causing the crash.
